    The Program

This program will help young people to develop ideas and the ambition to become successful in their career/business. Evidence shows that many young people are held back by barriers such as lack of access to business skills, technology, networks and finance.

By developing mentoring relationships between young people and professionals, the program will help to bridge the gap and ensure that more young people can gain access to the workforce and contribute positively to society.

In response to this need, iROCK! has developed an innovative solution that combines hands-on mentoring with technology to offer practical and measurable support to rising stars from diverse backgrounds.

Contact Us if you wish to be a mentor or a mentee.

    Online Mentoring Platform

iMentor matches aspiring mentees with mentors around the world.  Using our online platform, mentees will spend 8
months working one-to-one with their mentor to achieve their individual goals.  Mentors and mentees will also have an opportunity to build their career/business skills through bespoke training workshops provided by iROCK!, and
become part of a global community of committed, ambitious executives and entrepreneurs who are invested in each
    other’s success.

The program aims to increase confidence, improve performance and ultimately create a cadre of successful entrepreneurs and business leaders.

    How Does the Program Work?

The mentoring in this program is done online using our specially-designed platform, which allows for greater
flexibility and opportunities for networking and learning.

Research shows that online mentoring makes it possible for those who might otherwise be excluded due to their gender or geographical location to participate in mentoring relationships. The mentees and mentors in this program have been able to gain a fresh perspective, widen their networks to a global level and build life-changing relationships over thousands of miles.

Mentees and mentors meet through the platform for a set period every month over 8 months.

The key success factor for the mentoring relationship is commitment from both sides.

What it means to be a Mentor

As a mentor, you will be supporting young people who are looking for help with different aspects of their careers or businesses, including marketing, communications, technology, accounting, finance, human resources and more.
These “mentees” will be pre-selected and will be matched to you based on your skills and experience.

Mentors are invited to apply throughout the year. You will be trained on how to use online platform and matched with a mentee who could benefit from your guidance. If we do not find a match for you, we will endeavor to find you a match in subsequent groups.

Contact Us if you wish to be a mentor.

    Joining as a mentor

The mentees in this program are looking for support with many different aspects of their careers or businesses, including marketing, communications, technology, accounting, finance, human resources and more.

Mentors are invited to apply throughout the year, either through our partner organisations or independently. You will be matched with a mentee in January 2017.  If we do not have a mentee who can benefit from your experience at that time, we will keep your application for a further 12 months and endeavour to find you a match in subsequent groups.

    Online Training

Before being matched, all mentees and mentors must go through our online training course.

This ensures that mentors and mentees are able to start the program with the knowledge and tools they need to build a productive mentoring relationship and use the online platform.

It not only builds a good foundation for starting this program, but also helps to build skills and experience that can be transferred to work and professional lives.

  • Testimonials

Being part of iRock! has been a truly inspiring experience for me. iRock! is a support system that demands everyone involved in it to be the very best we can be – professionally, spiritually and physically. I have been mentored by Viola and then gone on to mentor other young ladies who have been part of iRock!. Both experiences gave
more than I can articulate and the process helped me develop professionally. I was accountable to someone and that kept me pushing beyond my barriers and fears. Through iRock!s projects, I have had the opportunity to work with many inspirational women, both young and old and this has given me the confidence to DARE IT, DREAM IT and DO IT.

    Tari: - Class of 2012 – 2016 – Mentee then Mentor

After graduating from university with an Honours degree in business studies Veronica worked extensively in the events management field. She soon realised the lack in her market for imaganative, classy, well organised events. She then started her own company to enable her to cordinate classy high end events that are executed to the highest
level. “iROCK! UK represents the best of both worlds in that it enables me to deal with a very high-end clientele under the leadership of powerful women who ROCK!”
