iRock! UK’s Charity Partner of 2012

Outside of our programmes, iRock! UK mentees and mentors volunteer and fundraise for several charities.

Our 2012 charity partners are:

African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust (ACLT)

The ACLT campaigns for Afro-Caribbeans to register on the bone marrow register and in the process offer hope and a healthy future to someone whose disorder may otherwise prove fatal. The ACLT has raised the numbers of potential black/mixed-race donors from 550 to approximately 33,000, and many lives have been saved in the process.

You can support the ACLT by clicking the 'Donate' button to the right of this page.

The Girl Child Networks

The Girl Child Networks supports and promotes girls’ rights, empowerment and education by advancing the circumstances of girls wherever they are economically deprived, at risk of abuse, subject to harmful cultural practices, or living in areas of instability. They envision a world where girls everywhere are empowered and enjoy their right to walk in the fullness of their potential.
